Affordable housing is a buzzword in the real estate sector in India today. Post COVID, there has been a considerable spurt in the demand for housing with forced lockdown bringing the need of safe living spaces into the spotlight. This need is most highlighted for the self-employed informal sector belonging to the Lower Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in India.
